This 2½ year part-time BA in Early Childhood Education programme is offered by KLC School of Education (KLC) in partnership with Beijing Normal University (BNU), one of the top ten universities in China. The programme aims to integrate early childhood education in context with leadership and management to prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills for leadership positions in early childhood education and related education fields.
The programme includes combination of 17 modules in curriculum design and evaluation, pedagogy in literacy and aesthetic arts , research methodology, leadership and management and dissertation.  It is taught by BNU  faculty and adjunct lecturers from KLC.

Admission Requirements

• Holders of Diploma in Pre-school Education-Teaching (Chinese ) accredited by
 MOE-MCYS,PQAC 
• Holders of recognized Polytechnic Diploma or Bachelor Degree in other disciplines.
(  5 top-up modules will be conducted by KLC for non-diploma holder of pre-school teaching ).

Course Objectives

• raise the academic  standard  and knowledge of Chinese Language  in education context;
• develop knowledge and skills in the areas of leadership and management and action researcher;
• examine critically the work of researchers in area of early childhood.

Teaching Methodology

A combination of  lectures, tutorials and e-mails consultation. 

Course Information

Course Duration:     Part-Time 21/2year ( 2-year lessons contact and  6-month dissertation)
Mode of Delivery :    4 to 5 course units in each semester ( 6-months)
Time of Classes:       Intensive block teaching  on Mon-Fri: 6.30-9.30pm and Sat 9.30am-4.30pm

Graduation and Award of Degree

Graduation Certificate will be awarded by Beijing Normal University upon course completion and passing of course work, examinations and dissertation.   BA in Early Childhood Education qualification will be conferred by China MOE upon fulfilling the degree stipulated requirements.
